Nose like all other features in our face, deserves that extra bit of care. It is the center of attraction in ones face. Rhinoplasty is a common cosmetic surgery; say it in Asia or Europe.

Why do people prefer Rhinoplasty?

Rhinoplasty reforms and reshapes your nose into any form you may desire. People may also prefer it, if they are unhappy with their heredity nose, disfigured the nose in an accident, or merely for an improved appearance.

The procedure:

The surgical methodologies used mainly depend on what you would want to achieve from the surgery. In most cases, incisions are done inside the nose to avoid any scarring.  There are two types of Rhinoplasty.  Open Rhinoplasty and Closed Rhinoplasty.

Open Rhinoplasty:  It requires making an incision across the lower or mid colemella, it is the middle part of the nose between the nostrils.  The exposed cartilage and bone is rearranged to the patients’ desirable nose structure.

Open Rhinoplasty is preferred by people who have a bulbous nose, protruding nose tip or nose tips with an irregular shape and size.

Scars are most likely to be visible immediately after surgery, but it will fade away with time once the patient completely heals.

Closed Rhinoplasty: It is the standard procedure in rhinoplasty. In closed rhinoplasty, incisions are made inside the nose along the nostrils. It leaves no scars behind, as all the incisions are invisible to the naked eye.

Ideally, closed rhinoplasty is advised for people who need nasal tip surgery, removing humps and excess soft tissues, or reshaping bones and cartilage.

Regardless of which procedure suits you, it is never too late to improve your appearance.
