The procedure:

1. Incisions are made along the crease of the ear extending towards the hairline. In doing so, the scar fades away and become unnoticeable as the months follow.

2. The skin from the cheeks extending until the contours of the jawline is detached through the incision.

3. The tissues beneath the skin are lifted towards the direction of the incision, resulting in the muscles to become taut, and internal sutures reposition it.

4. Any excess fat is than drawn away via a small hole and excess skin is trimmed. 

5. The incisions in front of the ear are than meticulously repaired with fine sutures.

Swelling and bruising will slowly disappear and by the end of the second week, all the scars should disappear too. One can also resume normal day activities.
